garlic cayenne pepper-jack biscuits

Saturday morning, I had a hankerin for some breakfast, but because I was ill, I didn't want to leave the house. I had eggs, but no bacon, and wanted something else, so I reached in the cupboard for the biscuit mix. Instead of the making usual cheesy biscuit recipe from the side of the box, I decided to do something different.

Using the drop biscuit recipe, I substituted shredded pepper jack for the cheddar, added 2 tablespoons of juice from the minced garlic jar, and a little over a half teaspoon of 60000 scoville unit cayenne pepper.

So, for those wanting details, the recipe I eventually made was:
3 cups biscuit mix
1 cup milk
2 tbsp garlic juice
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese

I followed the drop-biscuit recipe directions as far as time/temperature. They were a deliciously spicy side with scrambled eggs.

WARNING: do not eat a whole dozen of these in one sitting. seriously. they may taste fantastic, but you'll pay.
