loss and gain

fresh veggies (and stress) did wonders to help me lose weight while on my vacation a couple weeks back, and i'm sad to say i've put back on those 10lbs I lost. from my garden, I've been able to gather some fresh herbs and peppers and a couple tomatoes. i've gotten fresh cukes in trade from a friend for peppers, and my mom may have extra squash to bring next week. today, i was greeted by 3 ears of corn, 3 tomatoes, and 4 long yellow (banana?) peppers on my desk at work. tis the season, i guess. whatever i cant use, i'll freeze for use in chili later this year.

reminder to self: get beans and tarragon at grocery. steamed pole beans never tasted so good.
