Abs and Illness

Between having a bad sinus cold and starting to work my abs again, I've been quite miserable.

Last Sunday, I cleaned the room with the weight bench and did about half my normal workout. Then, I got sick again. By Tuesday, I was better, and went to the gym.

Then I got sick again, and missed my Thursday appointment.

This morning, as I drove past the gym, I noticed the city contractors getting ready to replace the sidewalk outside the gym (and all around the corner of that building) where the new curb-cuts are going to be. They removed a 6-8 foot deep sidewalk on both sides of the building about 10 feet in either directions, blocking any entrance to the gym, and they were getting ready to pour concrete, while there were patrons in the gym. Morons.

Then again, these are the same contractors who removed an 80-year old tree that sat about 10 feet from a corner, in someone's yard, because they said they needed the space to put in curb-cuts, and then only made a 4-foot sidewalk.

And this whole entry had almost nothing to do with my workout.
